To our precious family,
The past 2 days have been so fantastic. I have loved every minute......except getting up in the morning.
Angela and kids dropped us off Monday morning at the MTC. How ironic that Angela dropped us off....we made her come to the MTC alone but she still was willing to drive us to the MTC. It was great to be with them until the last minute. In the way down, it was snowing quite heavily and the roads had not been plowed at all. There were accidents and the traffic was slow. Angela did a great job driving when it was slick and messy. Along the way, Cade said he had to go to the bathroom. Then he said he felt sick but there was no where to pull over with snow piled everywhere. Finally Angela got off the freeway and we went to a store where Cade could go to the bathroom. He felt much better and we continued to the MTC. When we were only a few blocks from the MTC, Cade threw up in the car. He threw up lots and lots. He was so miserable and sick. It was sad. But the other kids were also miserable because of the smell. Sounds like a Todd car trip. But we made it to the MTC and Angela somehow got rid of the throw up bag!
Monday we had 2 orientations and classes. Wow! I only survived because of Myles' delicious chocolate chip cookies. However, I ate the last cookie at 10 pm and it has been awful without his cookies. They had some in the cafeteria but they are hard and not soft like Myles's. We will get fat here. We are eating 3 meals a day and potatoes at every meal.....and sitting in class all day.
Today we had class all day. The teachers are fantastic! We had a teacher our age this morning for the first hour and then young elders the rest of the. Opening and afternoon. We are so impressed with our teachers, They are spiritual, practical, helpful and entertaining.
I was called up to bear my testimony out of the audience the first thing Monday morning. Ugh!
The organization at the MTC is incredible. There are 1,600 young missionaries and 83 senior missionaries. To feed ,house, teach, take care of medical and other emergencies is such an overwhelming task. But it is done perfectly and runs smoothly . We feel so privileged to be here. We have met the most incredible couples. I love hearing about their lives. Their testimonies are inspiring.
The young elders and sisters are always so good to us.
I love being here and love the Lord.
Love, mom and dad
